Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? I have answers. Have more questions? Email me anytime.

What is a page view?

A page view is counted each time a page is loaded in a browser and actually viewed by a user. This means that if a user visits the same page multiple times, each visit will count as a separate page view. If a visitor opens a page in another tab without visiting it, it will not count as a page view.

Does an event/download/external link count as a page view?

Yes, events and clicks on download or external links are counted as a page view. This means that if you track an event, download or external link on a page, it will count as a page view in addition to the page view that is counted when the page is loaded.

Do bot requests count as page views?

No, bot requests are filtered out and do not count towards your page view total. This ensures that your analytics data is accurate and reflects real user interactions with your website.

Do you have a free plan?

No, I do not offer a free plan. However, I do offer a 14-day free trial. This allows you to test the service and see if it meets your needs before committing to a paid plan.

What happens if I exceed my page view limit?

Even if you exceed your page view limit for an occasional traffic spike, you will not be charged extra and your tracking will continue. If you exceed your limit two months in a row (within Axo's fair use policy), you will be prompted to upgrade to the next tier limit. From there you can decide to either upgrade your tier limit or cancel your account.

Can i switch tier limits?

Sure you can. If you exceed your page view limit for two months in a row, I will offer to update your tier limit for you. You can also downgrade your tier limit, if you are below your page view limit for two months in a row (and are not already on the lowest plan). You can also switch tier limit at any time from your account settings.

How do you handle privacy?

Axo Analytics is designed with privacy as a first-class citizen. It does not collect any personal data, does not use cookies, and does not track users across websites. For each visitor a unique ID is generated based on their IP address, user agent and other data points, which is then irreversibly anonymized to ensure privacy. This means that while you can track page views and events, you cannot identify individual users or track them across different sites.

What do you do with my data?

All the data collected by Axo Analytics is stored securely on EU servers and is only used to provide you with analytics insights. I do not sell or share your data with any third parties. You have full ownership of your data and can export it at any time.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

When you sign up for the 14-day free trial, you will have access to all the features of Axo Analytics with unlimited pageviews. At the end of the trial and unless you cancel, you will automatically continue with a paid plan, which is calculated based on the traffic of your trial.

What does unlimited pageviews mean?

Within your 14-day free trial, you can track as many page views as you want without any restrictions. However, Axo's fair use policy applies, which means that if you exceed a certain threshold of page views, you will be notified via email. This is to ensure that the service remains sustainable and can continue to provide high-quality analytics.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Sure, you can. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. If you cancel during the 14-day free trial, you will not be charged and any tracking will be deactivated immediately. If you cancel after the trial period, you will still have access to the service until the end of the current billing cycle.

What if I have more questions?

If you have more presales questions, feel free to email me anytime.
